Yoga, as practiced by the ancients was primarily a means for cultivating a connection with the Divine. Today yoga is often associated with the Asanas (physical postures). In this class we merge the two. Via a purposeful focusing of the primary senses (tactile, visual, aural, etc.) on the body and the breath we awaken the connection between our physical and spiritual beings. We practice balance, strength, grace, flexibility and equanimity. These concepts serve us in the world as well. Students will leave class feeling physically refreshed, peaceful, spiritually connected… Class format is designed to allow all students (from novice to advanced) to modify their practice to their own comfort level.
